Three routes reach the same editorial queue. Pick whichever suits you, use it once, and the editorial office takes it from there.
The three routes
Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
- Primary route — ManuscriptZone
- The publisher's full submission system at oap.manuscriptzone.net. Create an account, upload the files, and track the manuscript through review. Best where you want a record of the submission and its progress.
- Alternative route — manuscript submission form
- A short form at openaccesspub.org/manuscript-submission-form that reaches the same editorial queue, and opens with Tissue Repair and Regeneration already selected. Best where you would rather not create an account.
- Assisted route — editorial office
- Email the manuscript to [email protected] and editorial staff will place it for you. Best where a system is giving you trouble or the submission needs explaining.
The one-route rule keeps the same manuscript from entering the queue twice. It does not make any route preferable to the others, and all three are equally valid.
Before you send it
A short readiness check. The instructions for authors carry the full requirements and are the authority for anything below.
- Scope
- The work makes a substantive contribution to tissue repair or regeneration, and the cover letter explains the contribution and its biological, methodological, translational, or clinical relevance, as applicable. The aims and scope is the reference.
- Format
- The manuscript follows the preparation requirements for its format. If you are preparing something other than a full research article, confirm the format with the editorial office first.
- Authorship
- Every author meets all four authorship criteria, has approved the version being submitted, and is listed with their affiliation and ORCID iD where they have one.
- Declarations
- Funding sources and the funder's role, competing interests for every author, and a statement of what each author contributed.
- Ethics and registration
- Ethics approval and informed consent where the study involves people or animals, consent to publish any identifiable material, and trial registration details for an interventional trial.
- Data and reporting
- A data-availability statement, and the completed reporting checklist for the study design — ARRIVE, CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA or MIQE.
- Files
- A separate title page, the main manuscript with line numbers, figures at publication resolution with self-contained legends, tables with defined abbreviations, and any supplementary files cited in the text.
- AI use
- A disclosure naming any generative AI tool used in preparing the manuscript and what it was used for.
What happens next
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Say so at submission, and prepare the reviewer copy accordingly. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Nothing is payable to submit. The article processing charge of USD 1,800 is invoiced only after acceptance, editors take no part in billing, and the assessment of a manuscript proceeds independently of its payment status. The charges page sets out what the charge covers and the withdrawal terms.
If something goes wrong
If a route fails, a file will not upload, or you are unsure whether the work fits, write to [email protected] before trying a second route, so the manuscript does not enter the queue twice. Asking about fit before submission is welcome and usually quicker than finding out afterward.
