Before submitting

Each linked page owns one part of the decision; review them before sending the manuscript.

Aims and Scope

A submission should make a clear contribution to pharmaceutical knowledge, technology, medicine safety or pharmacy practice. A new formulation or manufacturing process is not required for every study.

Instructions for Authors

Prepare the manuscript as original research, a review, case report, short communication or technical note, method or protocol, or a perspective, commentary or policy analysis. Apply the reporting requirements appropriate to the study.

Editorial Policies

Review the peer-review, ethics, authorship, conflicts, data and AI-use policies.

Article Processing Charges

Review the standard APC, student rate, billing timing and withdrawal-charge terms.

What happens after submission

The editorial process is independent of fees, paid services, memberships, editorship and reviewing.

Editorial screening

The submission is checked for scope, completeness, ethics and minimum reporting requirements.

External peer review

Eligible manuscripts proceed to independent review. The default is single-blind, with double-blind review available on request.

Decision and revision

The editor considers the evidence and reports, communicates a decision and identifies any required revisions.

Acceptance and production

After acceptance, the APC invoice and production process are handled separately from the editorial decision.

Decision criteria

Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
