01 / Overview
Membership and ordinary submission
The Journal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Science and Technology (JAPST) publishes research on medicines, from discovery and biological action to formulation, production, safety and use in practice. Authors may submit without membership, and readers may access published articles without joining.
Membership arrangements may include APC reductions under the agreed plan. Before choosing a plan, compare its fee and coverage with the ordinary article processing charges for the manuscripts you expect to submit.

Individual researchers
For authors and coauthors considering a publishing arrangement for their own research. Establish which manuscripts and author roles are covered during the selected term.
Students
For students considering a membership arrangement. The application includes evidence of student status, such as a letter from a department head, supervisor or research-group leader.
Institutions
For universities, libraries and research organizations coordinating arrangements for multiple authors. Identify the participating institution and authors when discussing coverage.
Corporate and industry groups
For pharmaceutical, biotechnology and related research organizations. Funding and commercial interests must be disclosed in manuscripts, and editorial assessment remains independent.

Membership fees
The fees below are for the stated membership term. Request a written description of the plan's article allowance, applicable APC reductions, author eligibility and any additional charges before enrolling.

For ordinary submissions, the standard APC is USD 2,100 per accepted article. The student APC is USD 720, subject to current student proof. There is no submission or review fee, and the article processing charge is requested only after acceptance. Consult the APC page when comparing these options.
Points to establish before joining
- Which authors, article types and manuscripts the agreement covers
- The term, start date and any article allowance
- How any APC reduction is applied after acceptance
- The membership fee, payment arrangements and any additional article charges

04 / Independence
The same editorial standards apply
Membership, payment, institutional participation and commercial sponsorship do not influence peer review or acceptance. Every manuscript follows the same editorial assessment process, regardless of membership status.
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
Peer review: Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
